Birthday Giveaway & Etsy Shop Update

Well friends, today I turn the big 2-6. That’s right, I’m inching closer and closer to 30 ;) {I know all of you reading this right now that are older than me are probably rolling your eyes.}For some reason, turning 25 was hard for me. In some ways, I think I had a mild quarter life crisis. But 26 feels different. I feel like it’s going to be a good year. Fingers crossed!

If any of you have clicked over to my Etsy shop within the last few months, you have probably seen it still on ‘vacation mode.’ No, I haven’t forgotten to turn it off. I got a little overwhelmed with custom orders and wanted to take a break and focus more of my time on my blog and projects. I plan to re-open the shop at some point, but I’m thinking about taking it in a new direction…still trying to figure out what that direction is though, ha!

In the meantime, there’s lots of goodies sitting around. Because it’s my birthday, and because I’m moving and am in the purging mood, I’m offering one lucky reader some free stuff!

The goods::

{Set of silhouette note cards: 4 total}

I love getting and sending cards. I guess I should since I started an Etsy shop selling greeting cards :) Even though I don’t have a family, I still like to send Christmas cards to family and friends who live out of town. I always want to display the ones I receive somehow but have never really found a good solution.I’ve rounded up a few creative and simple ways to display Christmas cards that I’ve found on Pinterest.

Even though this is meant to be an advent calendar, I thought it might be a cute idea to clip Christmas cards to the clothespins instead.

For me this year, my plan is to hang the few Christmas cards that I usually get on the chalkboard/clothespin frame I got in Knoxville this past summer.

How do you usually display your Christmas cards?

Hope everyone has a good weekend! My roommate and I are having a little Christmas party at our place this weekend to exchange gifts with our friends. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures to share :)

Etsy Shop Highlight

As most of you know, I started an Etsy shop back in September. I used to scrapbook, but stopped because it got really expensive. I had all these leftover supplies/paper, so I started to make cards for friends and family. I really enjoyed doing it and people seemed to really like the cards.
Around that same time, I discovered the loveliness that is Etsy. With the encouragement of friends and family, I decided to start my own Etsy shop, Megan Brooke Handmade, and sell my cards.
From there, I decided to expand my paper product line and started to make cupcake toppers, banners and even invitations. It’s something I have had so much fun doing and a great creative outlet for me.Here are just a few examples of things that I make::

{Custom baby shower invitations}

{Matching baby shower banner}

{Cupcake Wrappers}

{Cupcake Toppers}

{Custom Notecards}

{Lingerie shower invitations}
