This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Sharpie, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SharpieClearview

I mentioned last week that one of the things I wanted to get better about doing was cleaning a little each day throughout the week to avoid spending hours on the weekend cleaning.  Our place is small so it doesn’t take long, but I would prefer to do the not so fun chores in smaller chunks on weekdays and save our weekends for more fun activities.

10 Minute Tidy Chore List

To try and help me stay on track, I created a little weekly 10 minute tidy chore list. There’s nothing more that I love than crossing things off a list. Call me weird or type-A, but I get a sense of satisfaction from visibly seeing a task completed on paper.

Sharpie Clearview Highlighters

To make my crossing off even more fun, I bought these new fun Sharpie Clearview Highlighters. You can find them at your local Walgreens {they are actually on sale right now} and they are neat not only because they come in fun bright colors, but you are able to see what you are highlighting {or in this case crossing off} with their clear tips.

If you are like me and have a physical planner, you can keep your tidy chore list in it and cross things off each day as you cross things off in your planner for the week.

Or, you can hang your list somewhere in your house that you will see on a daily basis as a reminder and turn it into a fun piece of wall art with some fun washi tape.

I currently have 1 list hanging in our bathroom and another in my planner {I figured it doesn’t hurt to have it in both places to encourage push me to get things done}.

Depending on how big your house is, some of these tasks might take more than 10 minutes, but the idea is to help motivate you to do a little each day to break things up and leave you chore-free Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

I have to admit, so far I haven’t been great at keeping up with these tasks throughout the week, but we’re going out of town this weekend for the long Labor Day holiday so this week is the week to give it a try and see how it works!

If you like the idea of a weekly chore list for yourself, you can download this one for free and print and use however you like!

Thanks to Sharpie and my fun new list, cleaning has become a lot more fun {maybe not a lot because let’s be real it’s still a chore, but at least a little more fun}. For more information about Sharpie products you can check them out on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
