Hope everyone had a good weekend. I spent most of Saturday in Asheville at a blog conference called Blogging Concentrated. There was a ton of good information that I’m still trying to process through. I’ll try to put together a post with some good takeaways because a lot of the information is relevant to small business owners in general, not just bloggers.
But, if you are a blogger, I would highly recommend going to one of their conferences if they ever come to your area. You will walk away with a ton of good insights and motivation to continue moving forward towards your dreams and goals.
On another note, now that it’s officially June, it’s time for the monthly recap of posts in case you missed anything in May.
We’re planning to have all hardwoods in the new house, so lots of rugs will definitely be needed. I pulled together a fun little inspiration board for our master bedroom incorporating a pretty neutral rug I had my eye on.
This past month I did a lot of lighting research for the house. It’s been an on-going process but I think we’ve pretty much made our final selections. As I was doing my research, I came across some fun diy light fixtures you can make yourself though.
Brass & copper fixtures are very in right now and I pulled together some of my favorites from the interwebs.
The renovation is still trucking along and rooms continue to take shape. I showed you progress pictures of the addition being completely framed out and gave you a little tour of what each room will be.
With this renovation and making design selections, finding things within budget can sometimes be a challenge. I rounded up several affordable lighting options including these wall sconces under $100.
And these pretty pendant lights all under $200.
We all can go through periods of feeling un-inspired or not creative. I recently went through one of those times and put together a list of 5 things that help me get inspired and get motivated again.
I’m helping to throw a baby shower for a friend later this month. They are waiting to find out the sex, so I’ve been on the hunt for gender neutral decor ideas. I rounded up some of my favorite gender neutral baby showers from the interwebs that were especially creative and pretty.
And last but not least I told you guys about #projectpurge and my quest to get rid of a lot of things before we move. I shared with you some of the inner thoughts of a hoarder attempting to purge and also shared more renovation progress pictures and the upstairs completely framed out.
Happy June friends!
