Brass & copper are making a comeback in interior design, especially when it comes to lighting. Before you freak out over the idea of incorporating brass fixtures in your home for fear of reverting back to the 1990’s, hear me out. The new brass that seems to be making a splash is different.
It has a more matted sheen and isn’t in your face shiny brass that was popular decades ago. It’s unique, and when done right, makes such an impact. These images are proof.
When trying to decide on lighting finishes for our house, I kept gravitating towards brass and copper fixtures. I was desperately trying to figure out a way to incorporate this finish. In the end though, I decided to stick to two finishes, chrome/polished nickel for bathrooms and bronze for all other spaces.
Throwing in a third finish seemed like too much of a wildcard for me.
But, I had several brass & copper light fixtures bookmarked and pinned from my searches. I thought I would share some of my favorites today in case someone out there is braver than me to use one.
