One of my favorite things about wedding planning was being able to create an event and wedding that was ‘us.’ Pulling together elements, colors, and decor that were inspirational and personal to us. I also loved the freedom of being able to pull inspiration from all kinds of places to create a vision for what I wanted and actually turn that vision into a reality.
The lovely folks over at RedEnvelope recently asked me if I would like to put together an inspiration board for an Empire State wedding. RedEnvelope along with ProFlowers is partnering with the Empire State Building to give three lucky couples the chance to have their dream wedding at the iconic building.
I loved the idea of being able to pull together inspiration and ideas that were completely different from my own wedding so I jumped at the chance.
When you think of the empire state building, you think classy, glamorous and grandiose. Choosing a few RedEnvelope’s wedding gifts as my inspiration, I pulled together an inspiration board that features an elegant black and gold theme with elements that say regal, without being too formal.
Even though I didn’t personally do a specific color theme, I’m loving the idea of black and gold for a venue like the Empire State Building.
The deadline for couples to submit their love story is December 5th. If you would like the chance to win your dream wedding, visit their Facebook page for more details about the contest.
Disclaimer: I was not compensated by RedEnvelope in any way for this post. I was just excited to pull together some wedding inspiration for someone else’s dream wedding.
