Turning the Big 2-7

Well friends, today I turn the big 2-7. That’s right. I’m officially only 3 years away from 30.

Last year I had a feeling that 26 was going to be a good year for me and boy, was I right. I had an amazing year.

This past year I truly discovered my creativity and really honed in on my style. I worked on several projects for my room that I’m super proud of, one of which was my DIY Curtain Rod  that has now been pinned over 1,000 times! That’s a lot to me. I also had a real mantel for the first time this past year and was able to decorate it for Fall and Christmas which was a treat.

I also discovered my inner set designer and had the opportunity to work on several video set designs. {You can see a gallery of all the sets I created here}.

When it came to the blog, over the last year I have really gotten into a good groove with my blogging and have really found my writing style/voice. I had the opportunity to attend the first ever Haven conference where I learned a ton and met some amazing people. Can’t wait to learn more and really push my creativity when it comes to projects/post ideas in the next year.

I also met the most the most amazing man ever this past year and made the big move to Greenville, SC.

Clemson Homecoming

And, to top it off, I started a new job in an industry that I love and am excited to learn more about.

Overall, 26 was an amazing year for me. Not sure it can be beat. But, I just have another feeling that 27 is going to be even better. Come on 27!

What has been your favorite age/year so far?

    Happy birthday!
I’ve been following your blog for awhile and love it! I made some skeleton key art for my bathroom and that is how I found you. You inspired me through Pinterest. My only problem is that you are a Clemson fan! I graduate from USC so I am a diehard Gamecock fan!
