Inspiration:: Restored Barns

I have a thing for barns. It’s not because I’m a down home country girl or anything. I love them because they typically have a history and I love all the old wood.

What I love even more than just a barn, is a barn that’s been converted into a home. Talk about having a home with character!

Here’s a roundup of just some of the amazing converted barns I’ve been eyeing.

I love all the original wood ceiling beams these converted barns have, don’t you?

Here are a few homes that weren’t actually converted from barns but the exteriors have been designed to look like a barn.

One of my all time favorite converted barns is Ronnie Dunn’s converted barn in Nashville, TN.

I wrote a post about it last summer. Seriously amazing.

Do you love barns or are they a little bit too ‘country’ for you?

    I love barns (and Houzz!) There’s a turn of the century house for sale, with a barn that was being used as a photo studio with space for an apartment on the second floor in NJ that I would love to buy. It’s just beautiful. If only we were moving NOW instead of next summer!
