It’s Friday friends! Can I get an amen? And since it’s Friday, I thought I would leave you with some color inspiration for the weekend.
Lately I’ve been drawn to color palettes. Part of that is because I’ve been pulling together lots of different images based on color schemes at my new job. You could say I’ve just been in a colorful mood. Because of that, now when I see an image I automatically analyze the color scheme and start seeing various images with the same color palette.
Like this image for example.

I loved the color palette in this photo and thought it would be fun to find various images with this same color scheme. Here’s what I came up with.

Love all the muted colors. Gives off a very wintery/moody vibe wouldn’t you say?
There are several amazing blogs out there that are dedicated just to color. If you want more color inspiration, be sure to check some of these out::

I’ve got a furniture project calling my name this weekend {can’t wait to show you guys pictures when it’s all said and done}. I’m also really excited because this weekend we spring forward with daylight savings time. Bring on the extra sunlight! Happy weekend friends!

My name is Megan. I work full time at an interior design firm and home furnishings boutique in Greenville, SC by day and I'm the author of Megan Brooke Handmade by night.
This blog was started out of a passion to create. My hope & desire is to help others discover their creativity. I currently blog about DIY & craft projects, home design inspiration & tips and the occasional recipe.
I hope you'll follow along!

I love grey! Love it. This is the second house where I’ve incorporated the color. One house had a grey living room, and our current house has grey painted window wall – I love Valspar Vessel Grey! I just ordered a grey/white Chevron stripe rug for in there, and we have a painting (from Ikea) that’s a London scene where everything is black/white except a double decker bus. I think it adds a nice little pop. I’d love to incorporate these grey and yellow flowered napkins I bought at Target ($3 on clearance, I love Target end aisle clearance) but I’m not sure how. I’m currently painting curtains for the family room (which is how I found your blog, I couldn’t figure out how to easily hang my drop cloth curtains, you gave me the answer; grommets!), and later on this afternoon, I’m taking a shower curtain and a bed sheet and turning it into a duvet. A bit adventurous maybe but I’m going to try it!
I love your blog! My husband will be thrilled I’ve come across yet another DIY/Inspiring blog
He just adores all my projects. hehe.
