Behind the Blogger

I love all the sweet comments I receive and love getting to know my online readers. It’s what helps me stay on this blogging journey. From reading my blog you probably know a little bit about me, whether it’s my decorating style, what I occasionally do on the weekends or what is inspiring me. But, you don’t really know ‘me,’ the person not the ‘blogger.’

So today I thought I would share with you some of my little quirks and some facts about myself to help you get to know me, the person behind the screen. And after reading this list, I think we’ll basically be BFF {either that or you will think I’m really weird, either is ok}.

Here goes::

-I am a picky eater {not as picky as I once was}

-I have a thing with foods and texture {like grits and bananas, yuck}

-When I was younger I had a strong fear of throwing up. In fact, every morning in the 4th grade I was convinced I was going to throw up {feel free to sympathize with my mom}

-When I was younger I wanted to have glasses, braces and break a limb so I could have crutches {I crossed 2 out of the 3 on my list-hoping the broken limb stays forever uncrossed}

-I use coconut oil on my face

-I am an only child

-I used to only eat the edges of pop-tarts and I had a friend that liked the middles. It was a friendship made in heaven.

-Cleaning is therapeutic for me

peanut butter sandwich

-I eat peanut butter sandwiches probably 3 or 4 times a week for lunch. Yes, I am 5.

-I am a baby when it comes to cold weather. Hate.The. Cold

-I have a passport but I’ve yet to use it {seriously need to do more traveling}

-When I was little I was terrified of dogs, now I absolutely love them

-I sleep with a fan on every night {no matter if it’s hot or cold outside}

-I hate the word ‘moist.’ When you say it out loud, it just sounds really gross.

-My favorite show of all time is FRIENDS {I can literally recite things from almost every episode}

I’m super excited because I’m leaving today and heading to Charleston for the weekend. My boyfriend’s birthday was yesterday and mine was a few weeks ago, so we’re going to have a joint bday celebration at the beach. His brother and his family are meeting us there so it should be a fun little weekend away!

What are you guys up to this weekend?

    I never thought about ‘moist’ but you’re right, it is a gross word! Right now my gross word is ‘snow’, because we are getting a ton today for a place that doesn’t get snow!
    I eat chili almost everyday in winter. I love chili. I make a huge pot on Monday, and then all I have to do is reheat all week for lunch. I’m also addicted to sour cream, I will even lick the spoon, which is saying something as I’m lactose intolerant.
    I didn’t break a limb, but I did have crutches and a cast after foot surgery 7 years ago. You don’t want to go through the crutches faze, really annoying!
    I also never drank coffee in the morning before I met my husband. Now 14 years later…everyone knows not to go near me before I have my morning sip.

    We have a very busy weekend, provided the snow lets off! I blogged about it today πŸ™‚ Dr appts, chess lesson, bday party, poker night, appliance delivery, Mini Cooper Seattle Scavenger Hunt event (so excited!), and riding lessons.

    Have a great weekend!
