14 Valentine’s Day Project & Gift Ideas

Now that it’s February, Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. When it comes to Valentine’s Day, I’m typically one of those that doesn’t get into all the Hallmark hoopla. To me, you should show those around you that you love, how much you love them on a daily basis. Not just once a year.

To help spark some last minute Valentine’s Day creativity, I’ve rounded up 14 project and gift ideas {all budget friendly}  to help us get into the spirit of love.

Valentine’s Day isn’t typically a holiday I decorate for, but here are a few projects and decorating ideas I found that I love.

I love the look of driftwood, and love this diy driftwood heart. I would even keep this up year round.

I love the simplicity and sweetness of this ‘Love’ embroidered twine project.

{Finding Home}

This little piece of artwork has a fun sparkly ribbon heart on top of gold initials. This is something else I would keep up year round.

I’ve seen a lot of string art projects lately. I love this heart with ‘Love’ string art. This would even be cute to make a smaller version of for an end table or coffee table.

This next project I absolutely love. Stamping a couple’s name into two spoons and then stamping an important date onto another piece of silver and framing them. This would even make a great anniversary gift. I so want to do this one day!

In addition to decorating, Valentine’s Day is also about getting or making something for the people in your life that mean the most to you. Here are a few budget friendly gift ideas for those special people in your life.

For the person who is hard to buy for or who has everything, these downloadable coupons would make a great vday gift. You could fill them out with an act of service or something that you couldn’t physically buy {like extra hugs and kisses or an outing of their choosing}.

Instead of buying a card for that special someone, download these hand drawn cards and give to them instead.

Hand-Drawn Valentines

{Funkytime}

Since it is winter and typically cold for most of us, these little diy handwarmers would make the perfect gift {for both adults and kids}.

Sometimes the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. So instead of giving a gift, make these little cupid heart crispies to show him how much you love him.

These diy monogram mugs are another cute gift idea.

This could be a gift or a decoration {that I personally would keep up year round}. Print all the important dates in your life as a couple and frame them. You could include your first date, wedding date, birth of your first child, etc. This is another project that I want to do one day for sure!

And last but not least, I thought this was such a cute idea. Give little gifts on the hour every hour. They could be as small as their favorite candy or favorite magazine and then the last one could be a bigger gift.

{Thirty Handmade Days}

Hopefully this helped you get into the Valentine’s Day spirit. Now I need to get with it and get/make something for my valentine pronto!
