It’s The Little Things

Over Thanksgiving, my family and I did a little shopping. In years past, we have been the crazies who go out on Black Friday. Not really because we were going after some of the big sales, but more out of tradition.

But, if you’ve noticed, the last few years the deals are starting to happen on Thanksgiving night. And Thanksgiving night is when the real crazies come out. So, the last few years I’ve opted out of shopping on either of those days. I’ve decided to stay in the comfort of my own bed in the wee hours of the night/morning and instead enjoy a leisurely day enjoying leftovers and Christmas movie marathons.

Gray and White Throw

I did manage to go out and do a little shopping that following Saturday. My intent was to start looking for Christmas gifts, but instead I found a little Christmas gift for myself.

I found this cozy throw while out perusing at the awesomeness that is TJ Maxx.

Now that it’s cold outside, my bed has been needing to be ‘winter-ized.’ It needed to feel more inviting and cozy, and this little throw does just that.

I told my mom I didn’t need anything for Christmas, just maybe some things for my new place once I get all settled.

But, my mom wanted to buy this for me as a Christmas gift (that I get to enjoy a little early).

Loving how it adds that little something my bed was missing. I think it will be a permanent fixture there this winter for sure.

Sometimes it’s the little things that can make a difference, don’t you think?

What’s something small that you have purchased recently that has made a difference in the overall feel or look in your home?

Hey Megan! I had no idea you had a blog! Sarah sent it to me. :) I love your new throw! I have always really liked monochromatic color schemes, especially in creams/whites. And the different textures of the throw/comforter/pillows are really nice as well.
