Taking a break from WordPress Wednesday today and instead showing you something I worked on recently.
A few weeks ago I worked on three different video sets for three different video shoots. One of those was a Christmas set for Britt Nicole.
I didn’t have a ton of time to prepare beforehand, but I did manage to take a little trip to Tar-jay and scour their Christmas section. And the above is what I came up with.
Here’s what it looked like before. It was basically three large frames that I then draped with white fabric.
You may remember me doing another set for Britt Nicole recently. It was the same type of backdrop, but for that one I used black draping instead of white.
To make the set look festive, I found a bunch of giant silver and red ornaments and hung them from the ceiling using fishing line.
I also found these fun shiny pop up trees and the silver sparky garland hanging in the back from Target.
I hung a few of the ornaments from a branch in the center of the space to add a bit of quirkiness.
I kept it simple, but I think it turned out good.
Here’s a behind the scenes shot with Britt and her band. It looks super dark, but there was a lot of back lighting that you can’t really see.
And if you’re curious as to what the set looked like on camera and want to get into the Christmas spirit, here’s the finished video they recorded for “Jingle Bell Rock.”
I did end up adding the presents around the trees after I took my pictures. I just wrapped empty boxes with brown kraft paper. Made the space around the trees a little more visually appealing.
What do you think? Planning on showing you guys another Christmas set from another artist next week!
