Inspiration Friday

I have to admit, I’ve been feeling a little uninspired lately. That’s part of the reason there has been a lack of posts in the recent weeks…that and the fact that life has been a little hectic {more on that later}.

In order to get out of my inspiration funk, I’ve rounded up several amazing projects and transformations from around the web to help me get more inspired and hopefully inspire you as well.

So let’s get to it.

If you love old antique looking signs, but don’t want to pay the big bucks for them, you can make your own. Learn how to DIY this antique dairy sign from Miss Mustard Seed.

I love this tufted ottoman and Dear Lillie shows us how we can make our own.

It may be getting close to winter, but Ashley and Jamin from The Handmade Home completely transformed the back of their house and porch into a bright & cheery space. I absolutely love their handmade shutters!

Thrifty Decor Chick transformed her dining room into a study complete with built in bookshelves. I absolutely love the lighting at the top of the shelves and the paint color behind the shelves.

I’m typically one of those people that doesn’t like to decorate for Christmas or get into the Christmas season until after Thanksgiving {although I think last year I did put up decorations before Thanksgiving}. But, these next two images are definitely getting me into the holiday spirit early and make me excited to decorate for a new season in a few weeks!

How cute is that chalkboard fireplace?! I have some leftover drop cloth from when I made my curtains. I may try to re-create this in the near future…

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!
