Happy Labor Day friends! Hope you are enjoying the extra long weekend. I know I am!
Labor Day is always a little bitter sweet for me. Memorial Day always feels like the official start to summer and Labor Day in a lot of ways means summer is coming to an end. This summer girl is certainly sad to see summer go, but I’m going to try and think positively about fall {aka all the fall decorating and baking that is to come}. Which brings me to my monthly goals.
Last month I set a list of monthly goals to accomplish. And in the spirit of holding me accountable, I thought I would give a re-cap with what I actually was able to cross off my list and also make a new set of goals for this month.
1. I have yet to completely update my blog. I’ve made a few small changes, but still have some formatting I need to work on.
2. I did figure out what I want to do over my bed. Yay! {I’ll explain a little more in a bit}
3. I’ve yet to find/make pillows for my bed. It’s still something that’s on my list, just having a hard time deciding on fabric/color scheme.
4. I have taken more pictures AND have been taking pictures in manual mode which was part of my goal. Success!
5. I did try a few new recipes. I made some healthy blueberry muffins and made my own homemade granola bars.
6. I did get some exercise in. For the most part, I walked at least once or twice a week after work and I even rode a bike a few times as well.
Four out of six accomplished, not bad right?!
Now that September is underway, I’ve made a new set of goals for a new month {with a few repeats from last month}.
1.-3. are repeats from last month. Like I mentioned, I did decide what I want to do over my bed and it will involve pallet wood.
I’ve got the pallet wood all cut down, now I just need to put it all together.
The one thing I do love about fall is getting to seasonally decorate. I’m excited to get our mantle all decorated and make a new fall wreath for our door.
And my last goal for this month is to finish reading a new book. I’ve got a couple books on my reading list and I want to make a point to finish at least one of them this month.
So far I think setting monthly goals {and openly sharing them} is helping me to get things accomplished. So the plan is to keep doing it.
Here’s to accomplishing at least 5 out of the 6 this month!
What’s everyone doing on their day off? Anything fun?

I love that you make monthly goals! So much easier to tackle than my yearly list – which is constantly growing.
Happy Labor Day!
Thanks Gina! Yes, it’s much more manageable and pushes me to get things done quicker
Hope you have a good Labor Day too!
I think your blog is looking super cute and pulled together and glad you crossed some things off of your list!
